As the Chief Visionary and Founder of Geaux Fig Co., a rad digital design, systems, and tech support company, she's taken the South Mississippi entrepreneurial scene by storm. Rita recently joined forces with Yellow Rabbit PR & Marketing to form Geaux Rabbit Creative Services, an unstoppable powerhouse offering clients a killer combo of branding and marketing services.
Hailing from Biloxi, Mississippi, Rita is no stranger to hustling hard in the southeast business world. With 18 years of experience in consumer and business hospitality, she's made her mark on the region's tourism market. A believer in the power of education, Rita studied Business and Psychology at both the Universities of Southern Mississippi and New Orleans, with a certification for Restaurant Hospitality and Tourism from Florida Atlantic University.
Rita's heart for service shines through her work as Secretary of the Board for the Mississippi Center for Autism and Related Developmental Disabilities, as a volunteer for Jubilee Havens, an organization that advocates for the stop of human trafficking, and as Marketing Director for the MS Senior World Pageant. Her dedication to community involvement has earned her a well-deserved spot on the February 2023 cover of one of the largest South Mississippi Magazines, Gulf Coast Woman, as a feature for their Parenting issue, showcasing her as a successful “mompreneur”.
Recognition has followed this dope entrepreneur, with Rita racking up numerous awards and accolades. In 2021, she was named one of Mississippi Business Journal's Top 50 Leading Businesswomen of Mississippi and received the MS Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce One Coast Top 10 Under 40 Business Award.
